Still at Home is Ottawa’s white-glove aging-in-place serviceA team of certified assessors, technology specialists, and trusted trade professionals dedicated to one purpose: ensuring the people you love never have to leave the home where they belong.

Our relationship with your family doesn’t end when the work does. We stay — through our Still There monitoring technology, through annual reassessments, and through every call you make when something changes. Because staying home isn’t a moment. It’s a commitment. And it’s one we share with you.

What you see here is just the beginning. Our full website is coming soon— built not as a brochure but as a living resource for families and the people they love, with ongoing tips, funding news, and guidance for making life at home richer, easier, and truly yours.

Who We Are

A white-glove service
for people who deserve to stay home.

Still at Home is Ottawa's managed aging-in-place service. We work with seniors and their families to make staying in a beloved home not just possible — but dignified, safe, and completely supported. We assess, guide, fund, build, and stay.

Life changes. A surgery. An injury. A quiet shift in how the body moves through a space that has always felt like home. Still at Home does not see a problem to be managed — we see a home that simply needs to rise to meet the person who lives in it. We make that happen, and we never stop making it happen.

For the Person at the Centre

Your home, still yours.

We treat every client as a capable adult living a full life — not a patient to be managed. Our CAPS-certified assessors design solutions that fit the home and the person, never the other way around.

For the Family

One call. We handle everything.

For adult children managing a parent’s needs from across town or across the country, Still at Home is the single point of trust. You call once. We assess, fund, build, coordinate accommodation, and stay connected through Still There technology.

What We Do

Six pillars. One seamless experience.

Every Still at Home client receives our complete managed service — from first assessment to ongoing monitoring. We never finish a project and leave. We stay.

Home Accessibility Assessment

A certified, in-home evaluation covering entry points, bathrooms, bedroom access, flooring, lighting, and kitchen function. The output: a written report, prioritized plan, and clear cost estimates — before any commitment is made.

Grant Navigation

We identify, apply for, and track every applicable government grant and tax credit — federally and provincially. The Home Accessibility Tax Credit, Ontario Renovates, HVMP, and more. For many clients, funding can reduce project cost by 20–50%.

Accessible Home Modifications

Grab bars and rails. Walk-in shower conversions. Barrier-free bathrooms. Wheelchair ramps and platform lifts. Stair lifts. Widened doorways. Coordinated by Still at Home, executed by our vetted trade partners, held to our quality standard.

Temporary Accommodation

When renovation work requires the client to step away from home, we arrange and manage comfortable, vetted accommodation — including pet-friendly options in Ottawa — so no one is ever left to figure it out on their own.

Permits & Compliance

All permit applications, Ottawa Building Code compliance, and City inspection scheduling — handled entirely by Still at Home. Clients never interact with the permit office. We carry that.

Still There — Wellbeing Monitoring

Passive home sensors that quietly learn daily rhythms and gently notify loved ones when something changes. No cameras. No wearables. Nothing to press or remember. Just connection — still there, every day.

Division Two

Stay connected to
what matters most.

The hardest part of distance isn't the miles — it's the silence between calls. Not knowing. Still There fills that space, quietly.

Passive sensors installed throughout the home learn the gentle patterns of daily life — when your loved one moves through the morning, rests, eats, and sleeps. When something shifts from the norm, the family is notified. Softly. Without alarm.

"Still There — so you always know."

Funding Programs We Navigate For You

Most families leave money on the table. We don't let that happen.

Federal non-refundable tax credit (15% of up to $20,000 in eligible expenses) for qualifying seniors and persons with disabilities.
